When you are called upon to arrange a funeral, it can be difficult to know exactly what is involved and what the funeral costs will be. Our team at Spencer and Peyton will explain everything in straight forward terms, provide a clear funeral estimate and work with you every step of the way.

THE CLASSIC FUNERAL
Our Classic funeral includes:
• Our professional services, including advice on certification and registration of death. Arrangements can be made in our welcoming arranging rooms or in the comfort of your own home. (Due to Covid restrictions we are making all arrangements over the phone and asking families to sign the official paperwork in our office – this is to enable our team to keep clear of Covid so that we can continue to be here for you)
• Conveyance of deceased to our chapel of rest
• Dressing and care of deceased prior to funeral
• Use of our private chapel of rest during office hours
• Provision of a coffin suitable for cremation or burial (Chiltern Coffin)
• Provision of hearse and bearers to start from an address in the Basingstoke, Hook, Tadley and surrounding area, or travel directly to funeral location.
• Administrate Donations

THE TRADITIONAL FUNERAL
Our Traditional funeral includes everything from our Classic funeral but also includes two locations. For example, a service in your local church followed by a committal at Basingstoke Crematorium or at Basingstoke Cemetery.

THE DIRECT FUNERAL
Some families decide to move away from the more traditional funeral and want a direct cremation or burial. These are funerals with no service, no minister, no mourners, no viewings, no obituaries and no administration of donations. The legal paperwork and arrangements will be made at our welcoming offices. The date and time of the funeral will be at the discretion of the funeral director and the cemetery or crematorium. This allows us to pass on the best value to our families whilst maintaining our quality of care and the dignity of the deceased.

A Direct or unattended funeral includes the following:

Provision of a suitable coffin
•
Collection of deceased during office hours (out of hours removal fee may apply)
•
Provision of a motor vehicle to transport the deceased to the committal
•
Care of deceased prior to the funeral
•
Bearers on day of the funeral

BASIC SIMPLE FUNERAL (in accordance with NAFD criteria)
This funeral package supplies our clients with a restrictive and basic funeral, in accordance with the National Association of Funeral Directors criteria. It would include:
• The deceased to be collected, during normal working hours, within a 10 mile radius (An additional fee of £105.00 is payable if collection is outside normal working hours)
• Funeral to be arranged at a date and time at the discretion of the funeral director (normally early on in the day)
• Provision of a hearse only, for a funeral at the local crematorium or cemetery.
• Provision of a basic coffin of our choice.
• This funeral package does not allow for the provision of additional limousines, administration of donations, Obituary Notice or Service sheets
• Disbursements on the clients behalf are additional
